About Us
The Haiti Benefit Auction is a combined effort of Anabaptist people in the United States to provide funds for relief efforts for the country of Haiti. Our primary goal is to raise funds to support programs such as schools and Christian education, Bibles, church planting, water wells, medical care, microfinance, small loans and long term plans to train people to support themselves and get on their own feet and be a benefit to their own communities. The missions who receive funding through the Haiti Benefit Auctions must meet biblical standards, show financial report, and have an accountability plan in place. Additional information available upon request. 100% of proceeds go directly to these missions, No one involved in fundraising is paid, or receives commission
Haiti
750 miles southeast of Florida, where the Caribbean and Atlantic seas meet, is a small island about the size of the state of Maryland and inhabited by over 12 million people. This is Haiti.
Haiti is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere, with over 60% of its people surviving on less than $2.15 a day. Many families must choose between feeding their children or sending them to school. Malnutrition is widespread—1 in 5 children suffer from chronic hunger, and nearly half the population faces acute food insecurity.
More than 30% of Haitians lack access to clean drinking water, leading to deadly outbreaks of cholera and typhoid. Basic sanitation is also limited, increasing the spread of disease.
Medical care is scarce. Haiti has the highest maternal mortality rate in the Americas, with 1 in 41 women dying from pregnancy-related causes. Infant mortality is staggering—1 in 40 babies dies before their first birthday, often due to preventable diseases. The country has only 23 doctors per 100,000 people, leaving millions without access to even basic healthcare.
Natural disasters and political instability have further crippled the nation. Earthquakes, hurricanes, and gang violence continue to displace families and destroy already fragile infrastructure, making survival an everyday struggle.
The needs in Haiti are great, but we believe that God can multiply every gift to have a greater impact than we can imagine.
